Insurance authorization is obtained prior to starting treatment where required.
Treatments last about 2 hours, Monday through Friday. The total number of treatments depends on your medical condition. The average number of treatments is around 40.
What does treatment feel like?
The patient should feel nothing once at treatment pressure.
Are there any side effects?
Not in most cases. A few patients will experience mild transient vision changes or pressure in their ears similar to flying in an airplane.
Do I need a prescription?
Yes. HBOT is regulated by the FDA and must be prescribed by a physician.
